GfGD is delighted to announce a new research partnership, supporting MSc candidate Brenda Wagaba from Uganda studying at Cranfield University (UK).

Brenda’s thesis aims to understand how NGOs working in eastern Africa access and use geoscience information and experts. Based on the findings, Brenda will propose a roadmap that sets out steps to strengthen this science-practice interface at the regional level, to support the delivery of SDG 6.

This research, and the resulting outputs, will be used to inform the ongoing programme and advocacy work of Geology for Global Development, and will support Brenda’s research and career ambitions via the strengthening of skills, networks, and expertise.

We are looking forward to updating you further about this research stream.
