Call for Trustees – Join our Board to help us champion sustainable development

Geology for Global Development (GfGD) is seeking new Trustees to help us champion the role of geoscience in sustainable development. Since GfGD was established just over ten years ago, we have evolved from our initial awareness raising around the role of geoscience in support the delivery of the SDGs, to influencing policy at an international level through our participation in UN processes.

We've come a long way but there is more to do in the run up to 2030 and beyond. We're now looking for new Trustees to complement our existing team to support us on our journey and are particularly keen to speak to candidates with some financial management experience. You don't need previous experience as a Charity Trustee, just a willingness to apply to your skills and experience to help us make an impact.

As a Trustee, you will play an essential role in supporting the governance of GfGD, ensuring we remain accountable, transparent, and effective in our work to mobilise and reshape the geology community to support the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

We welcome expressions of interest from individuals across all sectors and specialisms of geoscience, international development and beyond. Trustees are appointed for a three-year term and contribute to quarterly meetings, strategic planning, and the oversight of our activities and finances.

If you are committed to our mission and have experience relevant to charity governance, particularly financial management experience, we would love to hear from you.
